Movement & Play
Las Luciérnagas provides daily opportunities for sensory play and movement.
Play decreases stress, fatigue, injury, and depression and increases range of motion, agility, coordination, balance, and flexibility.
Equity, Social Justice, Empathy, & Activism
Las Luciérnagas creates an inclusive environment that celebrates and embraces all cultures, genders, languages, identities and learning styles. We engage children in real world issues using an anti-bias/anti-racist approach and provide them with opportunities to take action.
Language & Culture
Las Luciérnagas provides a bilingual education (English/Spanish) while embracing all languages spoken by the students and their families. Las Luciérnagas believes that language acquisition provides a door to new cultures and new cross-culture relationships.
